Sleeper Prospect Gets First Offer

Coolidge transfer lands first offer today. 24-7Football.com is first with the details. Read more inside...

24-7Football.com is the first to bring you the news of another Arizona product landing his first division-one scholarship offer.

You may not have heard the name Rodney Reagans before and remember where you heard it first.

Reagans played last season at Coolidge High but has since transferred to Chandler.

Last year he recorded 107 tackles and 6 interceptions from his middle linebacker spot on his way to 1st team all region and 2nd team all state honors.

He was flying under the radar until today when Army extended him an offer.

Reagans tells 24-7Football.com exclusively, "Army came and visited Chandler and said they liked what they saw and offered a scholarship."

The offer came as a surprise to Reagans as he said he had not been in contact with the coaching staff at Army. "They said they got a hold of my tape and liked what they saw," he says.

He also says that he has not had much of a chance to research the program but plans to. He also tells us he has thought about playing at one of the academies before.

"My uncle works in Annapolis and played football there." He adds, "I always wondered if I could play there. It makes you a better man and you can hold your head up higher after graduating from there."

"It is honor to get an offer from such a prestigious school."

Reagans (6-1 220) maintains a 3.0 GPA and scored a 1250 on the PSAT.

Chandler is always loaded with college talent and it comes as no surprise that many schools have come through during the spring evaluation period. Reagans tells us that UNLV, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Oregon and Colorado are some of the schools that have shown interest.

As for summer plans, Rodney will attend ASU's camp and is considering going to Oregon's and Colorado's. He will also be participating in the Under Armour/ Scout.com Phoenix Combine on May 24th.
