Army has really hit Notre Dame Prep up in attempts to land their athletes. We reported yesterday that the Black Knights extended offers to LB Anthony Greco and S Andy Wilder. They had also previously offered RB Patrick Foley. Today 24-7Football.com has learned that they have offered two more ND players.
We speculated yesterday that DE Garrett Riggio (6-3 240) and LB Ryan Reardon (6-1 215) both would soon be offered and both players confirmed it this evening.
Riggio states, "I am really excited about the first offer. It is great to be recognized for your athletic ability."
Riggio adds, "A lot of schools have come by and makes me want to work that much harder. I am open to anything but I want to see all of my options and check out schools."
Thus far Riggio says that Wyoming and Colorado State have been in contact and Notre Dame and Stanford have invited him to their summer camp.
A hurt ankle caused Garrett to miss seven games but he managed to record 38 tackles and 4 sacks for the 4A2 state champs.
Reardon confirmed his offer via text message this evening.
He is hearing from a variety of schools including BYU, Boston College and Arizona amongst others.
He was all region on both sides of the ball last year, 1st team at LB and 2nd team along the o-line. He registered 96 tackles, 4 sacks and 15.5 TFLs.
He can be seen here in footage brought to you by Scout.com. He wears #55:
