Phoenix (Az.) Paradise Valley CB Ebo Makinde informed Scout.com just moments ago that he was the latest member of the Boise State Broncos.
He tells us in an exclusive interview, "I just commited to Boise State. It was a family decision and God had a lot to do with it as well. I talked to my parents and prayed about it and it was best decision for me. Boise is very good academically and football wise."
O-line coach Scott Huff was the main recruiter for Makinde (6-0 160) and that is who he called to inform them of his commitemt. He says, "They were excited. They were a meeting and Coach Huff put me on speaker and everyone heard and was excited.
And Ebo could not be happier with his choice. He states, "I am very excited. I have been working hard this past year to get schools to look at me and it is exciting to get schools to actually give me an offer. But I am very relieved and now I can focus on the team, we have a really good chance at winning state championship."
Makinde is unsure of a major at the current time but is leaning towards business or marketing. He holds a 3.4 GPA and will take the SAT on June 7th.
He plays both wideout and corner for the Trojans but says the staff wants him as a CB.
Two other schools have also offered Makinde but he says, "I am a Boise Bronco." And adds, "I am completely done. I am not going to take any other visits. Now I can save money instead of going to camps this summer."
