Washington DE Heating Up

Marshall adds third offer this evening. 24-7 has the details...

Washington High School Kharyee Marshall informed 24-7Football.com that he received his third offer just a few moments ago.

He tells us exclusively, "I was playing phone tag with Coach Klenakis from nevada over the past two days and we got in touch today and he told me the defensive coordinator is really liked me and he just came from the University of Washington and they wanted to offer me."

He adds, "They liked my character. They said I am a good player on field and good in classroom and they are excited to try to get me to play in the silver and blue."

WHS has not had a division-one player since 1998 and Kharyee says, "It is unbelievable. I just came here to play high school football and see where it took me and I am very excited to be put in that category (of division-one players)."

Marshall (6-3 200) says that San Diego State and Wyoming may be close to offering and UTEP has shown strong interest. He has been officially offered by Boise State and Utah.

Marshall has predominately been a defensive end for the Rams but college coaches have talked about him possibly moving around once in college. "All of the schools have talked about playing both outside linebacker or defensive end and talked about me rushing the passer in 3rd down situations."

Kharyee was one of the top defensive linemen at the recent Under Armour/ Scout.com Phoenix Combine, where he was named to the all-combine team. His performance was highlighted by an impressive 35" vertical jump.

Marshall is an excellent student, maintaining a 3.4 grade-point-average. He is scheduled to take the SAT in June.

Marshall (6-3 200) has been one of the most productive players in Arizona over the past two years. He has been a 1st team all-region selection two years in a row and had an outstanding junior season, tallying 106 tackles, 16 sacks, an interception, a blocked punt and blocked field goal and a fumble recovery which he returned for a score.
