Apache Junction (Az.) High School RB Shane McCullen informed Scout.com today that he has received yet another offer, this one coming from Stanford, his 8th offer.
Shane tells 24-7Football.com exclusively, "I just picked up an offer from Stanford."
"I got an email from Coach Anderson that they watched my film today and to give him a call. When I called he told me the whole staff was impressed and they're offering me a scholarship."
He adds, "I'm really excited about this one! I'm planning an unofficial visit within the next month."
McCullen (6-2 190) also holds offers from San Diego State, Cal, Utah, Air Force, Nevada, Army and Washington State.
McCullen is used primarily as running back in AJ's offense but is being recruited at a variety of positions, including running back, strong safety and outside linebacker. Stanford has not decided on a posiiton either. McCullen comments, "They offered me as an athlete. They said they are really impressed with what I do offensively but they can see me playing safety or linebacker."
