24-7's 4A1 Preseason Top 10

We start our preseason top 10 rankings by looking at 4A1

24-7Football.com's 2008 Preseason 4A1 Rankings

1. Saguaro- I doubt anyone will argue with this. They are talented, big up front and if Cole Rarrick is up to the task of replacing Tim Ruben, they will be great again.

2.) Chaparral- They return a ton of key players and will be good one the O and D lines. Replacing Deveron Carr and Mike Cummings is Coach Ragle's biggest task.

3.) Peoria- You got to love what the Panthers bring back skill wise. Dang, Spano and Miles are studs. Question marks are the O and D lines.

4.) Paradise Valley- PV is the third team to be mentioned from the Desert Sky Region and after knocking off Chaparral last year, they proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Tyree Parker will get a ton of carries and Spain to Makinde could ring up a lot of scoreboards.

5.) Cactus- Cactus is always good and well coached. I expect nothing less from the Cobras.

6. Canyon del Oro- CDO was so close to taking home the title last year. They took some heavy losses to graduation but will be good again with Ronstadt and Carey in the backfield.

7. Sabino- Not only one of the class teams of Southern AZ but of the entire state. Coach Campos always has his team ready to play. Will have a chip on the shoulder after getting knocked out of the playoffs early last year.

8. Millennium- Always talented and tough. We will see how the team reacts to new coach Curtis Mays.

9.) Cienega- They face a very tough schedule early and if they pull an upset or two, they could be the surprise team of 4A.

10. Nogales- I like the season they put together last year. The schedule is not tough so expect Andy Garcia to put up some big numbers and lead them to the playoffs again.
