Top rushing performances highlight Friday's games in this week's edition of Phenoms

Player of the Week


Saguaro junior Erik Brown had 259 return yards against Sahuaro. He took two punts to the house and a kickoff.




*Chavez's Brandon Cluff went 17/20 for 215 yards and 2 TDs in their win over Mt. Ridge. More impressive is many thought he would be out with a knee injury.


*Chaparral's Spencer Stone makes the cut again. He passed for 330 yards and 3 TDs against Prescott.


*Seton Catholic QB Justin Sieczkowski went 21/35 for 356 yards and 4 scores.

*Northwest CC QB Nathan LaBarebera went 17 of 31 for 302 yards and 2 TDs.


Running Backs


*Centennial's John Hughes was huge in the Coyotes win over Hamilton, scoring four TDs.


*Basha's Will Still rushed for 190 yards and 3 scores against Deer Valley on just 13 carries.


*Beau Burton makes the list for the second straight week after rushing for 145 yards and scoring 4 TDs.


*Thunderbird back Clay Thorensen rushed for 223 yards and 2 TDs against Flowing Wells.


*Trevor Browne rushed for 637 yards against San Luis. Give credit to the big guys up front.

*Mike Brown from Cactus was on fire again rushing for 226 yards and 5 scores on just 22 carries.

*Blue Ridge's Kevin Schimmel made the most of his five carries, rushing for 158 yards and 3 scores.

*Shane McCullen averaged 20 yards per carry, going for 182 yards and 2 TDs on just 9 carries Friday night.

*Chaparral RB Dewayne Garrett had 236 all-purpose yards and 3 TDs versus Prescott.

*Allonte Springfield was big for Sahuarita in their win over Nogales, rushing for 209 yards and 4 TDs and had a kickoff return TD.




*Globe's Bray Wager was all over the field. He had a 50 yard INT TD, a 40 yard TD pass, a 21 yard TD run and kicked a 49 yards field goal.


*Mychael Morales from McClintock had 6 cathes for 76 yards. Three of those six were for scores.

*Adam Hall from Palo Verde had a nice night. He caught 6 passes for 191 yards and had a 48 yard rushing TD and an INT returned for a TD.




*Saguaro held Sahuaro to 15 total yards of offense.


*Agua Fria's Justin Lewis had 2 defensive TDs against O'Connor.
