Arizona's top quarterback prospect gave his verbal commitment this weekend.
Anthem Boulder Creek's Taylor Davis tells us, "My visit to Idaho was incredible. I bonded well with the players and I did not expect that. Arizona players Guy Reynolds and Ron Mallory had nothing but good things to say and I committed."
He adds, "I liked the players and the coaches were like family. Coach Axmen knows a lot about quarterback play and is very knowledgeable."
Davis continues, "Plus I grew up in Oklahoma in the snow and it snowed on my visit."
Davis (6-4 200) was named 1st team all-region this year after throwing for 2,357 yards and 26 TDs versus just 6 INTs. He was named the Northwest Region's Offensive Player of the Year for his efforts.
Davis says that North Dakota State, Northern Arizona and Portland State have been recruiting him. On his recruitment he says, "Idaho is my choice but I am keeping my options open but it will be very tough to beat Idaho."
Davis says he is thinking of majoring in business. He carries a 3.2 GPA and just retook the SAT.
