Raise your hand if you have heard of Safford (Az.) High's multi-purpose player Justin Smith.

It is tough getting recognition when you play in a small town but Smith did what no other 3A player was able to accomplish thus far this season in the Grand Canyon State. And that is get a division-one offer and commit. Payson offensive tackle Matt Wilson committed and will sign 1AA Northern Arizona on Feb. 4th. has confirmed that Smith (6-2 190) committed to New Mexico State while on his official visit to Las Cruces this weekend.

A little background on Smith. This past season he helped Safford High to a 7-4 record. On offense he played quarterback an dpassed for 1,027 yards and 11 TDs while throwing 6 INTs. From his safety spot on defense he registered 133 tackles and 3 INTs. He was a 1st team All-3A player and is being recruited to play safety by the Aggies.
