Scottsdale (Az.) Notre Dame RB Patrick Foley had offers from multiple division-one programs, including Stanford, Air Force and San Diego State. He has instead decided to sign with 1AA Penn tomorrow on LOI day.
He told Scout.com last night that he would choose between Stanford and Penn today. He was actually considering walking-on at Stanford because the Cardinal was full after receiving another commitment.
He tells us just moments ago, "I have decided to commit to Penn. I chose them because it gives the best business education at the undergrad level and I will have a great chance to contribute as a freshman."
He adds, "They have a great group of talent coming in which should make for a great four years. It is a great chance for me as a student and an as athlete and is just a great fit."
Foley was an all-region selection this year after rushing for over 1,000 yards.
