Chandler High has produced some quality players over the years. Players such as Cameron Jordan, Dion Jordan, Marc Anthony and Markus Wheaton come to mind.
The 2010 class does not look like it will change this pattern as 24-7Football.com has confirmed that RB Taylor Walstad has received his first offer and it was enough to make him pull the trigger and make his commitment. The offer comes from Arizona State.
Walstad (6-0 200) tells us today, "It (the ASU offer) just got here today in the mail. I met with Coach Erickson and the ASU coaching staff yesterday and I am very excited."
Taylor adds, "I am very impressed with ASU, Coach Erickson and their commitment to winning and education. Playing for the Devils is a dream come true for me"
Walstad continues, "I would really like playing in my home town and it is where I would like to play. I would say I committed because I am sure that is where I want to go. Coach Erickson really impressed me. It is a great education and a great program and I couldn't ask for more."
Walstad rushed for 589 yards and 7 TDs last year while being named honorable mention all Fiesta Region.
