Arizona's Top Prospects Remain Hot

Devon Carrington, Jordan McDonald, Jourdan Grandon & Marquis Flowers received new offers today

Arizona continues to be a hotbed for recruiting as 24-7football.com has confirmed that three players have received new offers.

We confirmed that Idaho has offered Saguaro DE Jordan McDonald. McDonald notified in us in a text stating, "The University of Idaho just offered."

Thus far Nevada, ASU, Fresno State and New Mexico have offered the 6-4 225 pounder. 

Last season helping Saguaro to their third straight 4A1 state title, McDonald made 33 tackles and 3 sacks.

Carrington

Three-star safety Devon Carrington from Chandler (Az.) Hamilton informed Scout.com that he has received a new offer; his 9th.

Already holding offers from Washington, Northwestern, Stanford, Arizona, Cal, Notre Dame and Arizona State, Carrington tell us, "Washington State just made an offer. It came in the mail today."

Carrington was an all-region selection this year for the Huskies, recording 77 tackles, 4 sacks and 2 INTs, helping them win the 5A1 state title.

Grandon

Idaho also made an offer to Avondale (Az.) Westview CB/QB Jourdan Grandon.

Grandon tells us, "The head coach from Idaho just offered me."

Grandon also has offers from Arizona State, Washington, New Mexico, Colorado State, Boise State, Colorado, San Diego State and Portland State.

Grandon (5-11 185) was a standout on both sides of the all in 2008, earning all-region accolades as a QB after accounting for 2,200 yards of offense and 19 TDs. From his corner spot he made 38 tackles and 4 picks helping the Knights reach the 5A2 state title game. Most schools are recruiting him as a defensive back.

Grandon carries a 2.8 GPA and will be taking the SAT next month.

Flowers

Scout.com's #19 ranked safety, top 300 player Marquis Flowers from Goodyear (Az.) Millennium, has received a new offer Scout.com has confirmed, it brings his total to 12 offers.

Flowers' father tells us, "Marquis received another offer in the mail by Washington State."

Flowers (6-2 195) also has been offered by Notre Dame Nebraska, Oregon, Cal, Michigan, USC, UCLAArizona State, Arizona, Colorado and Washington.

The four-star player rushed for 932 yards and 8 TDs on offense and made 87 tackles, 1 sack and 3 INTs as a safety. Flowers was an all-region pick on both sides of the ball as a junior.
