Queen Creek v. Higley

Rains delay what was shaping up to be a solid game on Cox 7

It was Queen Creek that struck first with the Bulldogs' Trey Van Camp catching an 18 yard TD Pass on a bubble screen from junior QB Adam Brzeczek. The PAT was missed and QC had an early 6-0 lead.

Higley answered in the 2nd quarter after RB Kelvin Fisher raced 56 yards for the score. Their PAT was also no good as it was blocked and we were locked up at 6's.

Just before the half and just before the lightning storm hit, Brzeczek hit Kendal Augistin for a 79 TD. This PAT was good, 13-6 Higley.

The players never came back out as Cox 7 took the game off the air when the refs called the game due to the heavy lightning. We are being told the game will be finished on Saturday.

Temporary Game Ball

QB Adam Brzeczek for throwing 2 TD passes.

Bottom Line

Never an ideal situation because not only does this put a damper on this game but it effects next weeks game. When normally these coaches are breaking down next week's opponents, they will now be playing a game. The Bulldog's offense is going to have to make big plays and hold Kelvin Fisher in check to pull this one out.
