Two-star TE Ben DeMarr from Phoenix Mountain Pointe has declared what school he will sign with in February. He tells Scout.com the breaking news, "Just before the end of the semester, the head coach from Air Force came to the school and I committed and will sign with them on national signing day."
DeMarr adds, "I did it because it is the opportunity of a lifetime. I will be set for the rest of my life after football because it is such a well respected school. I also connected with the coaches immediately. I felt that their style is right for me and feel that I can contribute greatly in the years to come. Air Force is a program on the rise and will be difficult to beat. Plus it is close enough to where my parents can drive to all of my home games."
DeMarr (6-4 215) caught 12 passes for 156 yards and 1 TD for a very run-oriented 12-1 Mountain Pointe team. He was an all-region and honorable mention all-state selection.
He picked Air Force over offers from Norhern Arizona and Army.
