24-7Football.com has learned the New Mexico State Aggies have been very busy in Arizona having offered five Grand Canyon State football standouts. 6-3 220 pound Mountain Pointe defensive end J.R. Plote received an Aggie offer. Plote, an All-Region pick last season, also holds an offer from Air Force.
Plote says, "I just got my second offer from New Mexico State. Coach Vaughan (Mt. Pointe HC) called me and then I talked to Coach Dunbar. I think Coach Walker will really turn stuff around and he's a great defensive mind."
Along with Plote, NMSU offered Scottsdale Saguaro safety John Lindemann and Gilbert Mesquite tight end R.J. Rickert. Lindemann, a 6-5 200 pounder, also holds an offer from Idaho. The 6-3 220 pound Rickert, who had 40 catches last season, holds an offer from North Dakota State.
Like a ticker, the Aggie offers keep coming in as Moon Valley offensive lineman Vi Teofilo and Chandler Perry defensive lineman Mo Latu informed 24-7 they have Aggie offers. Teofilo has previous offers from Northern Arizona and San Diego State. Latu holds offers from Hawaii, Oregon, Arizona State and Colorado State.
