Springdale, Southside picked to finish 1-2 by RPS

The Springdale Bulldogs split a pair of games with Fort Smith Southside in 2002, but lost the most important one: The Class AAAAA state championship encounter at War Memorial Stadium. This year's Bulldogs have just as much bite and Southside has been decimated on defense, particularly at linebacker. Yet, both teams appear capable of making the playoffs and winning three consecutive postseason games to set up a rematch. Here are this year's RPS preseason rankings for Class AAAAA:
