Daniel Looking for First Offer

Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd tight end/defensive end Terrance Daniel is one of the more intriguing prospects in Northern California. The last two weekends, Daniel has competed at the Passing Down Elite 7-on-7 and Stanford NFTC. Check inside for the latest in his recruitment…

Terrance Daniel (6-7, 220) has great size to play either tight end or defensive end at the next level. With the spring evaluation period in full swing, colleges are stopping by high school campus, but Daniel hasn't seen many of them.

"Colorado came by the school and I'm getting letters from the Pac-12," said Daniel.

He is being recruited to play tight end with a few schools looking at him as a defensive end. "I started at d-end last year," said Daniel.

Daniel says he has no favorites and will not be particular when his recruitment starts picking up. As far as playing offense or defense at the next level, he remains fairly open. "I like d-end, like to play tight end and maybe wide receiver."

He admits to not sending out his film, which could be impeding his recruitment. "Georgia Tech asked for [game film]," he adds. "I have my film and highlight tape but I haven't sent it out."

Daniel competed at Passing Down Elite 7-on-7 earlier this month with Team California Strength. He followed that up last weekend by competing at the Stanford NFTC. Next up for him is camps at California, San Diego State, and Stanford.
