Passing Down Camp, Free Combine 30 Days Away

The brainchild of retired six-year NFL veteran Cameron Worrell and business partner Elbert Lee has grown into one of the premier camp experiences in the West. The fifth annual Passing Down Camp will include a FREE combine, the traditional "Camp with the Pros" skills session, and inaugural Best of the West Elite 7-on-7 Tournament on Friday July 15 at Buchanan High School in Clovis, CA…

Last year was the first time Passing Down offered the FREE combine testing to all high school eligible players. The event saw some of the top players in the 2012 class take advantage of the opportunity to record their combine numbers. Four-star Fresno (Calif.) Washington Union wide receiver Deontay Greenberry – who's verbally committed to Notre Dame, and three-star Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial offensive tackle David Keller, who's verbally committed to Fresno State, were just two of the numerous D1 prospects that competed in the 2010 Passing Down Combine.

The 2011 combine will be on a grass field surface at Buchanan High School in Clovis, CA on July 15. The combine will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Fox Sports/Scout.com will publish top participants' results and cover the event in its entirety. Combine timing and measurement include height/weight, 40-yard sprint, L-cone drill, pro-shuttle, broad jump and bench press (135/155/185 pounds).

The original Passing Down "Camp with the Pros" returns for its fifth annual Skills Camp from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The unique camp features hands-on, position-specific instruction from current and former NFL players to all rising 9-12 graders. Bernard Berrian, Richard Marshall, James Sanders, and Sam Williams among many others have coached in past camps. The camp is non-contact (shirt & shorts) and open to all football positions, with an emphasis on elite football drills and skills. Registration is $55 and camp participants receive Passing Down camp shirt.

The first annual Best of the West Elite 7-on-7 Tournament comes on the heels of 2010's "Friday Night Lights" Passing Down Elite 7-on-7 Challenge, which featured six-teams and some of the top prospects in the Golden State. The 2011 event will feature the top teams from each of the four Passing Down Elite 7-on-7 regional tournaments from this spring. The 16-team BOTW tournament will take place under the lights, once again, on Friday night July 15.

Passing Down Camp and Combine registration is open until the camp date, for more information and player registration visit www.passingdown.com. Walk up registration will be available the morning of July 15. Space may be limited contact info@passingdown.com for any questions.
