STATE BASEBALL RANKINGS BY DIVISION & REGION

Now that the playoff pairings are out in the CCS, Valley Christian has been taken out of the Div. IV state rankings. New No. 1 is Carmel. Also, Canyon of Anaheim stays on top in Div. II despite a loss.

Note: We tried to warn you this could happen and it has. Several teams have been reclassified for the state ratings this week based on which section playoffs they are going to appear in. The primary division this impacts is Division IV as Valley Christian of San Jose (which has been No. 1 in this division before) has now been reclassified as Div. I for the state ratings since it was placed in the CIF Central Coast Section Div. I playoffs. Remember, the baseball and softball rankings this year are not based on school enrollments. Only basketball is because we have CIF state playoffs based on school enrollments. The baseball and softball divisional state rankings attempt to match teams into the corresponding divisions they play in for their section playoffs.
