Rubio Longsnapping: Nike Fall Camp- Illinois

A look at some of the top performers at the Illinois Nike Fall Camp...

Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking continued their Nike Fall camps in IL on October 2, 2011. Long Snappers came out  from IL, OH, NJ, NM, MO, FL, MI, WI, KY, and CA to learn from the best and get the most exposure out there for Long Snappers in the country. Rubio Long Snapping is continuing to dominate the Long Snapping world with over 135 Long Snappers sent to college in the past two year. Rubio Long Snapping already even has five 2012 Long Snappers that have been offered full scholarships and committed!

Long snapping instructor Chris Rubio of Rubio Long Snapping / Chris Sailer Kicking was on hand to guide the snappers through the various sections of the camp. The camp's many facets were on-field instruction, film/classroom review, recruiting seminar led by the NCSA along with Rubio and Chris Sailer, and wrapped up with a competition.

The winner of the Nike Fall Camp in IL was Josh Jahnke (IL). Jahnke was at his first Rubio Long Snapping camp and handled the pressure very well. He is extremely consistent and on target all day long. He has an excellent attitude and was relaxed all day.

Along with Jahnke, there was an abundance of talent with the top Long Snappers in attendance being the following:
·Taybor Pepper (2012, MI) – Taybor might just be the fastest Long Snapper in the country with his slowest snaps during the day being in the mid .7 range at 15 yards. He is a very long athlete with a ball that is just a rocket. Amazing improvement over the past couple of years.
·Steven Romero (2012, NM) – Steven has an excellent D1 frame and his ball is beyond smooth and accurate. The more he gets used to his whole body, the more speed he will get on his snap. Extremely accurate. Tons of potential.
·Nolan Dowling (2012, IL) – Nolan continues to improve with his snapping. Excellent attitude and form make him someone to look at for the next level. Body is thick and he is very athletic.
·Scott Sypniewski (2013, IL) – Sypniewski continues to impress me with his flawless form and strength for his age. Syp is a very polished Long Snapper already and is almost ready right now for the next level.
·Christian Kohnen (2013, IL) – Christian did very well for his first Rubio camp. Excellent frame and attitude. Learns very quickly. Came in very raw and left well above average. Keep a very close eye on this Long Snapper from the Midwest.
·Grant Meersand (2012, CA) – Grant continues to be accurate and smooth with his snapping. The stronger he gets, the better he will be. Handles pressure well and his form is amazing.
·Graydon Peterson (2013, WI) – Graydon is very close to being one of the best Long Snappers in his class. I am very excited about his improvement and where he is headed. Watch this one closely.
·Mike Perry (2013, IL) – Mike is one of those Long Snappers you could just watch all day. Extremely smooth and consistent. Needs to trust his great form and let the ball rip. Potential.
·Cody Crater (2013, IL) – Cody is one of the most accurate Long Snappers out there but just needs to use his good strength to snap as hard as he can.
Other notables: Alex Julien (IL), Zack Cooper (NJ), Brandon Thomas (IL), Nicholas Janicki (FL), Jackson Mahorney (KY), Ryan Martin (IL), Anthony Hantak (MO), Rocco Rasnic (IL)

Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking will have stops this fall in CA, IL, NC, GA and TX with all camps leading right into the 10th Annual National Kicking and Snapping Event sponsored by Nike in Las Vegas on January 14-15, 2012. This Event is open to ALL and is the biggest kicking, punting and long snapping camp in the world.
