Chris Sailer Kicking: Nike Fall Camp- Texas

A look at some of the top performers at the Texas Nike Fall Camp...

Chris Sailer Kicking recently visited Dallas, TX on the third stop of the Nike Fall Camp National Tour.  Texas has always produced as much if not more talent than any other state in the country.  This year is no exception.  The talent and competition was outstanding.  Take a look at the results.

Camp Champion: Evan Sobiesk (MS)

Evan is a Member of the "TOP 12" and is currently ranked in our top 20 nationally.  The Chris Sailer Kicking 5-Star Kicker had a stellar performance.  He hit field goals of up to 60 yards off the ground and kickoffs 70+ yards.  He currently has an offer from Montana State, but his performance should get him plenty more.

Other 2012 Standouts:

Josh Lambert (TX) – Josh is a D1 Scholarship pick without a doubt.  He is a great athlete with a big time leg that can kick and punt at the next level.  Josh should be one of the next kickers offered by D1 programs.

Izzy DePlaza (TX) – Izzy is one of the most consistent kickers in the nation.  He shows up with great focus and determination at every camp.  He is a very smooth and natural kicker.  Izzy has all the skills to play college football at any level.

Josh King (TX) – Josh is simply a great kicker.  He has a strong leg and kicks with outstanding consistency.  He hits an excellent ball that will easily transfer to the college game.  He is a big time prospect that should start to get national recruiting attention soon.

Jean Breaux (LA) – Jean had a break out camp.  He had a phenomenal performance in Dallas.  Jean is a very smooth and extremely consistent and natural kicker.  He is perhaps one of the most underrated kickers in the nation.  He has the skills to start on field goals for any program in the nation next year.

Mason Juhl (TX) – Mason made a huge jump in the Chris Sailer Kicking Rankings.  He had a big day and proved that his name belongs listed with the best of the best.  Mason is a sleeper in this class that any college would be happy to have on their roster.

Other 2012 D1 Prospects: Dylan Neiheiser (NC), Andrew Ferguson (TX), Joe Figenshaw (TX), and Alex Faoro (TX)

Top 2013 Talent:

Ty Cummings (TX) – Ty was impressive.  He was the top kickoff guy at the camp, besting all 2012 prospects.  He hit several ball 75+ yards with 4.0+ second hang time.  His field goals were also dominating.  Ty made the "TOP 12" last year after his sophomore year and has put himself in position to do so again this coming January in Vegas.  Ty is a big time prospect.

Lumi Kaba (TX) – Lumi is a big time talent.  He has a D1 leg and hits a tremendous ball at times.  He has all the skills to catch the eye of any college coach.  He is a tall and strong athlete that should be a top combo prospect (K/P) in his class.  Look for Lumi to make waves in Las Vegas.

Austin Shoemake (TX) – Austin has proven time and time again that he is a great kicker.  He has a great leg and kicks with excellent consistency.  He is a nice talent that should have an great offseason and impress coaches.

Other 2013 Standouts: Elliot Fry (TX) and Jonathan Barnes (LA)

2014 Studs: Sam Downey (TX) and Yanni Routsas (TX)

Chris Sailer Kicking will wrap up the Nike Fall Camp Tour with stops in Charlotte, NC on December 10 and Atlanta, GA on December 11.  Then look for kickers, punters, and long snappers from all over the nation to attend the 10th Annual National Kicking Event in Las Vegas January 14-15, 2012.  Visit for more camp and recruiting information.
