Goff Solid With Bears

Kentfield (Calif.) Marin Catholic quarterback Jared Goff was the first commitment to California in the 2013 class.

Coming from a Cal family, Goff has firmly been in the Bears camp since his verbal, and has been a key figure in their recruiting class, leading a lot of the recruiting efforts from a player standpoint.

On Tuesday, Goff heard the news of Jeff Tedford's firing, the coach who recruited, offered and was committed to by Goff.

But despite Tedford's firing, nothing has changed for the four-star.

"I love Coach Tedford as a person and coach," said Goff. "(But) I'm still 100% committed to Cal."

And Goff is eager to see what the next step is for Cal.

"I'm looking forward to the future and what great coach they're going to bring in next," said Goff.

This weekend, Marin Catholic will take on Santa Rosa (Calif.) Cardinal Newman in the CIF-NCS D-III semifinals.
