EL CERRITO, Calif. -- Four-star offensive tackle Aaron Banks had planned to have seven hats on the table for his commitment ceremony in the theater at El Cerrito (Calif.) High School on Friday, but could not get the hats for all of his finalists, in time. Instead, he threaded his top-knot hair through a white Notre Dame visor, in front of a packed auditorium, which included former Gauchos star and current UCLA defensive back Adarius Pickett.

Banks plans to enroll early, and though he has no illusions about playing early, he told Scout.com that he "just felt comfortable."

"Coach [Henry] Hiestand has a great track record, and the players that are there right now, and the opportunities that I can have going forward, it seemed like the best opportunity for me."

Banks's younger brother, Franklin Banks, who plays point guard and defensive tackle, looked on, and when told that he's the next one up, could only smile. He currently has an offer from California, who was also pursuing Aaron.
