LA VERNE, Calif. -- UCLA signee Jalen Hill had a relatively pedestrian day by his standards, in the opener of The Classic at La Verne (Calif.) Damien. Hill turned in 17 points and 16 rebounds for Corona (Calif.) Centennial in a 70-50 win over Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany, just below his season averages of 24 points and 13.4 rebounds per game. Nevertheless, Hill was dominant on both ends of the floor, with quick, athletic lateral movement and powerful moves in the post.
