Passing Yards

396 -- Jordan Christensen, Clovis vs. Stockdale (Bakersfield).  Completed 16 of 22 passes and had six TD passes. Also ran two yards for another score in 49-10 win.

388 -- Matt Engle, El Segundo vs. South (Torrance) in 35-31 loss. Completed 27 of 39 passes and had four TDs.

354 -- Naquan Walker, Jordan (Los Angeles) vs. Manual Arts (Los Angeles) in 46-42 loss. Completed 12 of 24 passes and had four TDs and two interceptions.

341 -- Matt Moore, Hart (Newhall) vs. Palmdale in 31-7 win. Completed 24 of 42 passes and had two TDs.

341 -- Shane Lopes, Dos Pueblos (Goleta) vs. Righetti (Santa Maria) in 28-14 win. Completed 24 of 32 with two TDs and one interception.

340 -- Andrew Wick, Scotts Valley vs. Soquel.  Completed 23 of 39 passes and had 4 TD passes in 28-27 victory.

338 -- Brian Fabela, Gustine vs. Mariposa.  Also had one TD pass but threw six interceptions in 12-6 loss to Mariposa.

337 -- Kyle Wright, Monte Vista (Danville) vs. Amador Valley (Pleasanton) in 21-16 win.  Completed 18 of 26 passes and 2 TDs.

330 -- Daren Pasut, Granada (Livermore) vs. American (Fremont).  Completed 14 of 22 passes and had three TDs in 35-0 victory.

323 -- Jeremy Sanchez, Gabrielino (San Gabriel) vs. Burbank.  Completed 16 of 18 passes and had four TDs.  Sanchez also scored a two-point conversion in 36-33 win.

308 -- Drew Olson, Piedmont vs. Salesian (Richmond).  Completed 15 of 26 passes and had three TDs in 49-20 victory.

301 -- Luke Sniewski, Granada Hills vs. Jefferson (Los Angeles) in 35-12 victory. Completed 20-of-33 passes and had four TDs.

292 -- Sonny Mares, Clayton Valley (Concord) vs. Arroyo (San Lorenzo) in 28-17 loss.  Mares completed 22 of 30 passes and had two TDs.

291 -- Raul Sandoval, San Jose vs. Mt. Pleasant (San Jose).  Completed 12 of 20 passes and had three TDs in 40-11 win over Mt. Pleasant.

290 -- Adam Richardson, Mission Bay (San Diego) vs. Pt. Loma (San Diego).  Completed 12 of 25 passes and had two TDs in 37-3 victory. 

 

Yards Rushing

385 – Durrell Moss, Orange vs.  385 yards vs. University (Irvine) in 56-35 loss. Carried 44 times and scored three TDs.
344 -- Chauncey Washington, South (Torrance) vs. El Segundo in 35-31 win. Also scored three TDs.

338 -- Ronnie Smith, Narbonne (Harbor City) vs. Lynwood in 51-33 win. Carried 24 times and scored five TDs on runs of 5, 57, 77, 51 and 47 yards.

310 – Scott Pickett, University (Irvine) vs. Orange in 56-35 win on 15 carries. Also scored seven TDs.

298 -- Tank Cannon, Lincoln (San Diego) vs. Serra (Tierrasanta).  Also scored 2 TDs and led Lincoln in 18-7 win.

289 -- Steve Quisada, El Rancho (Pico Rivera) vs. Workman (City of Industry) on just 14 carries.  Also scored three TDs helping El Rancho to an easy victory over Workman, 41-6.

274 -- Corey Jackson, Bullard (Fresno) vs. Yosemite (Oakhurst) on 26 carries and scored two TDs in 20-13 victory.

265 -- Chris Handy, Arcadia vs. Arroyo (El Monte).  Carried 32 times averaging 8 yds a carry and scored one TD.  Arcadia High went on to win 28-16 on a night that the school celebrated its 50th anniversary of its first home football game.

258 -- Vince Mays, Johnson (Sacramento) vs. Sacramento on 26 carries.  Also scored three TDs in 55-20 win.

256 -- Anthony Matagi, Los Amigos (Fountain Valley) vs. La Quinta (Westminster) on 12 carries and scored five TDs in 47-14 victory.

255 -- Michael Adams, Duarte vs. Monrovia in 40-8 win. Carried 17 times and scored two TDs.

254 -- Cliff Mason, Santa Ana Valley (Santa Ana) vs. Estancia (Costa Mesa).  Carried 30 times and scored twice in 27-24 win.

247 -- Mike Nichols, Natomas (Sacramento) vs. Union Mine (El Dorado) on 25 carries and scored two TDs in 42-34 victory.

247 -- Kelly Williams, Centennial (Bakersfield) vs. Clovis West (Fresno).  Carried 30 times with two TDs from 47 and 80 yards, but the game ended in a tie, 20-20.

228 -- James Campos, Alhambra vs. South Pasadena in 40-12 win.  Had 19 carries and scored two TDs.

226 -- Mark Vingua, Colton vs. East Valley (Redlands).  Scored two TDs and a 2-point coversion in 30-8 victory. Vingua, a senior at Colton also has a 3.97 GPA and would like to attend an Ivy League College.

223 -- Mark Whaley, Eastlake (Chula Vista) vs. Sweetwater (National City). Also scored six TDs in 58-7 win over Sweetwater.

221 -- Brandon Williams, Moorpark vs. Newbury Park in 49-31 win. Also scored three TDs.

220 -- Danny Burney, Sylmar vs. North Hollywood in 26-14 win. Carried 16 times and scored two TDs.

220 -- Lorenzo Booker, St. Bonaventure (Ventura) vs. St Joseph (Santa Maria).  Carried 14 times and scored five TDs from 25, 2, 2, 18 and 79 yards in 76-12 win.

218 -- Nick Kaiser, Nordhoff (Ojai) vs. Harvard-Westlake (North Hollywood) in 38-3 win. The 6-1, 220-pounder carried 16 times and scored three TDs.

 

Scoring

7TDs – Scott Pickett, University (Irvine) vs. Orange in 56-35 win. Rushed for 310 yards on 15 carries.

6 TDs -- Mark Whaley, Eastlake (Chula Vista) vs. Sweetwater (National City).  Rushed for 223 yards in 58-7 win over Sweetwater.

5 TDs -- Anthony Matagi, Los Amigos (Fountain Valley) vs. La Quinta.  Rushed for 256 yards on 12 carries to help Los Amigos dominate La Quinta in 47-14 win.

5 TDs -- Lorenzo Booker, St. Bonaventure (Ventura) vs. St. Joseph (Santa Maria). Also rushed for 220 yards as St. Bonnie rolled to 76-12 win.

 

TD Passes

6 -- Jordan Christensen, Clovis vs. Stockdale (Bakersfield) in 49-10 win.  Christensen completed 16 of 22 passes and threw TDs from 9, 9, 83, 64, 30, and 22 yards.

 

Pass Receptions

14 -- Nick Berard, Calabasas vs. Channel Islands (Oxnard) in 33-31 loss.

14 -- Mike Newall, Arroyo (San Lorenzo) vs. Clayton Valley (Concord).  Also had 170 receiving yards and every completion for Arroyo. Also scored one TD in 28-17 win.

12 -- Dante Bogan, Santa Barbara vs. Loyola (Los Angeles) in 31-22 loss. Also had 164 receiving yards.

10 -- Brandon Tripp, Los Alamitos vs. St. John Bosco (Bellflower) for 118 yards.  Also caught a 41 yard TD pass in 42-17 victory.

 

Receiving Yards

241 -- Brian Cosgrove, Scotts Valley vs. Soquel on 16 catches. Also had two TDs as Scotts Valley edged Soquel 28-27.

221 -- Steve Smith, Taft (Woodland Hills) vs. Kennedy (Granada Hills) in 51-19 triumph. Caught seven passes, three that went for TDs.

213 -- Dash Crutchley, Chaparral (Temecula) vs. Palm Desert on 7 catches.  Also had three TDs to help Chaparral defeat Palm Desert 42-28.

211 - Mario Atilano, Gabrielino (San Gabriel) vs. Burbank.  Had 8 catches for 211 yards and four TDs from 33, 70, 20 and 35 yards all thrown by quarterback Jeremy Sanchez.  Gabrielino rallied to win 36-33.

 

Defense

Jeremy Boyle (El Camino Real, Woodland Hills) -- Put the clamps on Van Nuys with four interceptions in a 41-0 shutout by the Conquistadors.

Sam Calhoun (Westchester, Los Angeles) -- Intercepted three passes and caught a 48 yard TD pass to lead Westchester past Hamilton, 36-22.

Robert Garcia (Grace Davis, Modesto) -- Had 10 tackles and two interceptions to help the Spartans defeat Beyer 27-6.

Ron Jones (Narbonne, Harbor City) -- Returned two fumbles for scores in a 51-33 win against Lynwood.

Jimmy McGuiness (La Canada) -- Recorded a whopping eight sacks, putting himself in the state record book, but it wasn't enough to stop Crescenta Valley, which won 34-0.

 

Kicking
Tim Valencia (Ramona) -- Tied a 19-year-old CIF San Diego Section record by kicking five field goals in a 17-12 victory over Poway.
