Tadman Opens Up Recruiting

Marty Tadman was all but a done deal for Arizona just a few weeks ago after Mike Stoops took over the head job in Tucson. Marty said that all he had to do was meet Stoops and the new DB's coach and he would commit. Now that Stoops and co. are taking their time and re-evaluating players they have not been in contact much with Tadman. Not to say they won't be - they just have not been yet. Tadman is now open again.

Tadman was one of the stars on the West Squad in the Cal/Florida game last Friday night in which the Florida squad prevailed 24-22. He had four catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. He also had a punt return for 20 yards.

As for his situation with Arizona......

"They told me that my scholarship was still good but I have not heard much from them since they first got there. So now I am not leaning towards anyone."

Marty still has the Cats on his top schools list along with USC, Washington State, Boise State, Kansas State, and Oregon State. He is visiting Boise State the weekend of January 16th and Oregon State the weekend of January 23rd.

He thinks that now USC has lost out on Ted Ginn, the no.1 CB prospect in the nation, that a spot could open up for him there. He is waiting to hear from the Trojan staff.

We will catch up with Marty in a couple of weeks to see if UA is courting him again.
