Heir To The Throne

Class of 2007 Point Guard making case to claim #1 in the near future...

Taft's Jordan Farmer is the #1 Point Guard in California for 2004, but the Luster is shining through in SoCal and could just be light enough to claim #1 in 2007.  Who is this 5'9" league Player of the Year in San Diego?

His name is Jay Dee Luster.  Currently averaging 19.1 points, 9.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 steals per game.  Good enough stats that some high profile basketball programs have already taken notice.  Clark Francis of Hoop Scoop, perhaps one of the most respected "National Scouts" in the Country rates Luster as the top PG in 2007, and #8 nationally -any position!

Luster has been invited to all the "high profile" camps - Nike All-American, Adidas Superstar, and Reebok ABCD. He will attend ABCD.

In addition to being Player of the Year in the Harbor League, he was named M.V.P. of the Eastlake Titan Classic in December, dropping  27 points and 9 assists in the championship.  He was also the only freshman to be ever named to the all-tournament team at Dinos Trigonis' Summer Shootout last year, where Team San Diego lost in the finals.

Luster's High School coach, respected Ollie Goulston of Hoover High School receives calls regularly on Lusters behalf.  UCLA, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Arizona, Kentucky, and San Diego State to name a few.  The list will keep growing.....

One quote by Coach Goulston sums up this future superstar-""He's a hard worker, once after an eight point loss in which Jay Dee didn't shoot to well, he stayed in the gym until 1:00 a.m. shooting the ball. He came back the next game with 38 points, including 12 of 12 from the free throw line."

The PG throne could be claimed alot sooner by Mr. Jay Dee Luster!

Luster will play for the Southern California All-Stars this summer.
