Rushing Yards

330 - Anthony Matagi, Los Amigos (Fountain Valley) vs. Costa Mesa. Also scored three TDs on 23 carries in 38-27 win.

321 - Manuel Gutierrez, Brea-Olinda (Brea) vs. Sonora (La Habra). Also scored four TDs as Wildcats won playoff opener, 51-13.

314 - Jason Relyea, Poway vs. Valhalla (El Cajon) on 34 carries. Also ran for two TDs in 36-10 victory.

293 - Demetrius Ragland, Western (Tulare) vs. Tulare. Carried 13 times and scored six TDs in 49-21 win. Also had two receptions for 110 yards and 403 total yards.

283 - Daniel Ching, Sierra (Tollhouse) vs. Selma in 28-27 loss. Ching carried 27 times and scored 2 TDs.

271 - Donnie McCleskey, Bishop Amat (La Puente) vs. Wilson (Long Beach) on only 15 carries. Also scored four TDs in 47-20 first-round playoff victory.

266 - Dal Johnson, Montclair Prep (Van Nuys) vs. Big Bear (Big Bear Lake). Scored four TDs in 35-17 first-round playoff win.

262 - Brandon Hickman, Cloverdale vs. Ferndale. Also scored four TDs in 40-7 victory in North Coast Section Class A playoffs.

254 - Ashton White, Santa Margarita (Rancho SM) vs. Rialto. Also scored four TDs as Eagles won CIFSS Div. I playoff opener, 43-30.

253 - Rhema McKnight, Kennedy (La Palma) vs. Villa Park, 42-35. McKnight, the top wideout in the state who is playing quarterback out of necessity, also scored four TDs, threw for 81 yards and made a game-clinching interception in the end zone on the game's final play.

252 - Geramie Bascomb, Upland vs. West Covina. Also scored three TDs in 28-21 CIFSS Div. II playoff win.

249 - Dennis Legaspi, Mary Star (San Pedro) vs. Marshall (Pasadena). Carried the ball 27 times to help Mary Star to a first round playoff victory, 40-19.

247 - Tim Brown, Franklin (Stockton) vs. Merced on 29 carries. Also scored four TDs on runs of 1, 1, 51 and 5 yards to help Franklin defeat Merced, 41-25. Brown rushed for 303 yards last week and 274 yards the week before.

247 - Mark Van Paris, Sonoma Valley (Sonoma) vs. Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa) on 27 carries with scores from 16, 4, 1 , 35 and 6 yards in 37-27 win. Van Paris now has 27 TDs this season, which is a Sonoma school record.

240 - Kris Daniels, South San Francisco vs. Mills (Millbrae). Daniels helped South San Francisco to CCS Division III victory with four TDs in 52-43 win.

239 - Dartangan Johnson, Newport Harbor vs. Ocean View (Huntington Beach). Also scored five TDs in 49-0 victory.

226 - Nick Shula, Lemoore vs. Hanford on 34 carries. Also had five TDs in 47-14 win.

226 - Chase Twedell, Valley Christian (Cerritos) vs. Whittier Christian (La Habra). Carried 17 times and scored two TDs. Valley Christian crushed Whittier Christian, 45-12.

Passing Yards

458 - Adam Tafralis, Mills (Millbrae) vs. South San Francisco in 52-43 loss. Completed 27-of-47 passes and threw an amazing seven TDs, which ties for state single game high.

377 - Hudson Gossard, Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta) vs. Littlerock. completed 30 of 44 passes for 377 yards and five TDs as Falcons rolled, 55-21.

367 - J.C. Lewis, Las Lomas (Walnut Creek) vs. St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo) in 68-50 win. Also threw for four TDs.

362 - Tommy Grady, Edison (Huntington Beach) vs. St. John Bosco (Bellflower). Completed 10-of-13 passes and threw for five TDs in 56-13 win.

335 - Idris Moss, Eisenhower (Rialto) vs. Loyola (Los Angeles) in 28-14 loss. Moss completed 23-of-36 passes and threw one TD.

332 - Matt Garza, Washington (Easton) vs. Coalinga. Completed 9-of-19 passes and threw five TD passes from 79, 83, 79, 9 and 60 yards. Washington won, 40-0.

309 - Eddie Miller, Venice vs. Marshall (Los Angeles) in 58-13 victory. Completed 15-of-21 passes and threw five TDs.

294 - Mark Moreno, Bell vs. North Hollywood. Completed 16-of-29 passes. Also threw for four TDs in 33-20 win.

TD Passes

7 - Adam Tafralis, Mills (Millbrae) vs. South San Francisco. Had a spectacular night throwing for 458 yards on 27-of-47 completions. Mills and Tafralis, however, came up short in 52-43 loss.

5 - Matt Garza, Washington (Easton) vs. Coalinga in 40-0 win. Garza also completed 9-of-19 passes for 332 yards.

5 - Tommy Grady, Edison (Huntington Beach) vs. St. John Bosco (Bellflower) in 56-13 playoff win. Also completed 10-of-13 passes.

5 - Ruben Nevarez, San Fernando vs. Canoga Park in 52-7 victory. His five TDs ties the school single game record, and he now has 26 for the season to break school standard.

5 - Eddie Miller, Venice vs. Marshall (Los Angeles). Also completed 15-of-21 passes for 309 yards in 58-13 stomping of Marshall.

5 - Hudson Gossard, Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta) vs. Littlerock in 55-21 triumph. Completed 30 of 44 for 377 yards.

5 - Billy Rodriguez, Rio Vista vs. Willows. Completed 11 of 18 for 249 yards as team advanced to Northern Section title game with 32-20 win.

5 - Kyle Wright, Monte Vista (Danville) vs. Arroyo (San Lorenzo) in 49-21 victory. Also completed 12-of-22 passes for 276 yards.

Scoring

6 TDs - Demetrius Ragland, Western (Tulare) vs. Tulare. Carried 13 times and scored on runs of 49, 92, 49 and 69 yards. Also had two 55 yard TD receptions. Ragland finished with 403 total yards in 49-21 win.

5 TDs - Kenny James, Dos Palos vs. Liberty (Brentwood) in 40-17 win. James scored four TDs rushing from 45, 55, 39 and 10 yards. Also scored on a 77-yard TD reception. James now has 103 career TDs, which is third best in Central Section history.

5 TDs - Dartangan Johnson, Newport Harbor vs. Ocean View (Huntington Beach). Also had 239 yards rushing in 49-0 win.

5 TDs - Nick Shula, Lemoore vs. Hanford in 47-14 win. Also had 34 carries for 226 yards.

5 TDs - Mark Van Paris, Sonoma Valley (Sonoma) vs. Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa). Scored from 16, 4, 1 , 35 and 6 yards to set a Sonoma school record with 27 TDs this season. Also rushed for 247 yards on 27 carries in 37-27 win.

Receptions

14 - Brad Boyer, Camarillo vs. San Luis Obispo. Catches went for 154 yards and two TDs in 48-27 loss.

11 - Dan Moody, Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta) vs. Littlerock. Had 128 receiving yards and returned an interception 102 yards for a score in 55-21 win. Moody's 11 catches gave the senior 102 on the season, within 19 of the state record of 121 by Steve Martinez of L.A. Wilson in 1977. Not bad for a player who caught only 12 balls all of last year.

11 - Ryan Grossman, Mills (Millbrae) vs. South San Francisco for 173 yards. Also had three TDs from 10, 27 and 21 yards in 52-43 heartbreaking loss.

11 - Robert Jordan, Tulare vs. Western (Tulare) in 49-21 loss. Jordan had 132 yards receiving and scored two TDs from 16 and 13 yards.

10 - A.J. Herrera, Damien (La Verne) vs. Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo) had 185 yards receiving and one TD in 14-7 victory.

10 - Hugo Velasco, Belmont (Los Angeles) vs. Jordan (Los Angeles) in 21-14 win. Velasco also had 223 yards receiving and caught the game winning TD with 2:38 remaining to play.

Receiving Yards

252 - Emanuel Brackett, Washington (Easton) vs. Coalinga on only 6 receptions. Also scored three TDs from 79, 83 and 60 yards in 40-0 win.

239 - Denny Flanagan, Edison (Huntington Beach) vs. St. John Bosco (Bellflower). Also caught seven passes and had four TD catches as Chargers won, 56-34.

225 - Raymond Battle, Littlerock vs. Crescenta Valley. Also caught nine passes, including a 90-yard touchdown, in 55-21 loss.

223 - Hugo Velasco, Belmont (Los Angeles) vs. Jordan (Los Angeles). Caught 10 passes and scored the game winning TD to beat Jordan, 21-14.

221 - Joe Spence, Roosevelt (Fresno) vs. Fresno. Caught only six passes and scored two TDs from 23 and 69 yards but team lost to Fresno, 23-22.

204 - Ramon Perry, San Fernando vs. Canoga Park. Caught six passes and had two long TDs in 52-7 victory.

TD Catches

4 - Clint Borel, Las Lomas (Walnut Creek) vs. St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo). The 6-6, senior tight end also had 149 yards receiving in 68-50 victory.

4 - Chris Diaz, Mills (Millbrae) vs. South San Francisco. Caught a total of 8 passes for 170 yards and had TDs from 28, 6, 38 and 51 yards. South San Francisco outscored Mills, 52-43.

4 - Denny Flanagan, Edison (Huntington Beach) vs. St. John Bosco (Bellflower). Helped Edison remain unbeaten in 56-34 victory.

All-Around

Brandon McGill, Templeton vs. Coast Union (Cambria) - Rushed for 201 yards and scored on runs of 45 and 56 yards. Also had an 85 yard punt return for a TD in 77-0 crushing of Coast Union.

Ben Olson, Thousand Oaks - Threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as the Lancers pounded Santa Maria 55-28. Also threw for 216 yards and ran for 82 more.

Alex Palacio, Bonita Vista (Chula Vista) vs. La Costa Canyon (Encinitas). Completed 10-of-21 passes for 226 yards. Also caught a 55 yard pass for a TD in 17-7 win. The victory was Bonita Vista's first playoff win in 21 years.

Jay Staggs, Dos Pueblos (Goleta) vs. Rio Mesa (Oxnard) - Caught six passes for 71 yards. Also intercepted two passes and blocked a FG to help Dos Pueblos shutout Rio Mesa, 19-0.

Austin Wing, Lone Pine vs. Westmark (Encino) - Carried 19 times for 200 yards and scored five TDs. Scored 33 of the teams 59 points in 59-12 win two weeks ago over Westmark. For the season Wing has 1,020 yards rushing and 19 TDs.

Kicking

Sergio Aguayo, San Jacinto vs. Bishop. Kicked FGs of 42 and 50 yards in 20-7 victory. Connor Hendry, Templeton vs. Coast Union (Cambria) in 70-0 win. Hendry was perfect, kicking 11-of-11 PATs. This is fourth best PAT total in Central Section history and the most since the 1920s.

Eight-Man

Kollin Woodbury, Joshua Springs vs. Desert Chapel. Rushed for 267 yards on 25 carries. Also scored five TDs to lead Joshua Springs to a convincing 54-6 victory.
