For the second straight year, Arcadia opened with a victory over a Top 25 team. Duke-bound Shelly Marshall had a goal and one assists in a 2-0 victory over then No. 15 Mission Viejo. Last year's Arcadia team defeated Buena to start the year.

10 Torrey Pines (San Diego, Calif.) 1-0-0 NR
Torrey Pines began the season with a 3-0 victory over University.
