The Oak Ridge offense knows how to take advantage of their tight end as Ryan Moya has 18 catches for close to 200 yards and four touchdowns in just two games. On defense, he has 14 tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and four sacks. Oak Ridge is 1-1 on the season and they are preparing for a big game versus Sacramento Grant.

Moya guesses that he has received 20-30 phone calls since the 1st of the month. "All of the Pac Ten have called and some others are USC, Colorado, and Colorado State," he said.

He is reluctant to name favorites at this time. "I am trying to keep things open with recruiting and just focus on my senior season. I will start to filter down some of the schools I like here soon."

We reminded Moya who the schools were he listed to TheInsiders the last time we spoke, and asked if it was okay to keep those choices with his profile. He said that we could drop San Diego State and UNLV and add Washington State and Oregon. So we are assuming that the main schools he is interested in are Boise State, Cal, Fresno State, Illinois, UCLA, OU, and WSU.

He has written offers from Indiana, Cal, UCLA, Illinois, Northwestern, Fresno State, Boise State, UNLV, and San Diego State.

As for visits, he is unsure where they will be to yet. "I think I will start taking them in late October, early November. In fact, right before you called I had just sat down with my mom to kind of start figuring out my schedule. The thing that is making it a little harder to decide when to take them is that I start basketball right when football season is over."

Moya says that one thing he will try to do in the very near future is attend a couple of local games ('SC and UCLA). He seems to be very comfortable with the situation in Westwood. "When I think about the schools I have to choose from, I think about how well UCLA fits me. I can just see myself fitting in well there. I like the situation they have at tight end and think that I could step in and contribute. I feel I could have a great career if I choose to go to school there. I like the offense they are running now and think that the coaches are great, and that they are turning it around. There is a lot of upside at UCLA."

Tight Ends Coach Jon Embree is recruiting him for the Bruins.

He insists that his parents have no preference on where he attends. They just want whatever situation seems best for him.

Moya is fully qualified with a 3.3 core GPA and a score of 980 on his SAT, although he will take it again. He is undecided on a major.
