Devin Head is quickly becoming one of the most dominating offensive lineman in California.
Head received an offer from Colorado State just recently. "I was a little surprised by that one. I had visited there before I went to the Colorado camp this summer and I was maybe there for one hour. I stopped by and spoke with their offensive line coach and head coach and I guess they liked what they saw."
The offer came from CSU after his great performance against the nation's #1 defensive end, Averell Spicer. "He is a real good player. That was a game I was ready for because I knew it would be big for me. I thought if I played well against him I would get a few more schools to look at me. I pancaked him a few times. My coach told me that we are the only school that did not have to double-team him this season."
Head had help on the evening from his offensive line counterpart, Irvin Stevens.
His older brother, Brian Head, is a junior starting center at Stanford but the Cardinal have not been recruiting Devin. "I got a D in one class my sophomore year. I took the same class again the very next semester and got an A. But, becauase I got that one D they are not allowed to recruit me."
He has not scheduled any visits yet. "I will probably take them after the season and start scheduling them in the next month.
Cal, Colorado, and UCLA are at the top for him right now. "I do not have a favorite but I like CU a whole lot."
