The youngster from Lompoc Cabrillo Senior continued, "They want me as an athlete, or maybe a flanker, because I'm quick. I'm more of a quick, inside receiver, really. But I can also do things like return punts and kick offs. They aren't recruiting me just as a RB.
"They are just a couple of players away from winning some of the games they lost this year. If you've watched them, they've been in a lot of close games. I decided that it was the best fit for me.
"I grew up in Pittsburgh for ten years and didn't move to Calif until my soph year. I've got a lot of family there--that was a big factor in making this commitment.
"The defense there is really good and I can also go I in there and get some early playing time as a frosh. That sounds really good to me. On my official visit (11/5), I got along really well with the players and the coaches, and it also felt really good just walking around town (State College).
"My really good friend, Justin King, committed there last night. We grew up playing football together.
"Joe Paterno just signed a contract extension. If he returns, that's great. But if he doesn't, they'll pick a coach to take over from within the staff. Coach Tom Bradley told me that. So I know he'll be good."
