Boys Div. IV-A Championship -- Verbum Dei 84, Serra (Gardena) 75. Long-awaited matchup of state-ranked Div. IV powers goes to Eagles, who received 23 points and 12 rebounds from Richard Chaney. Guard Michael Pagan added 22 to offset the 24 by Serra's Eugene Jeter.

Boys Div. V-AA Championship -- Rolling Hills Prep 78, Ribet Academy 70. Sophomore Curtis Allen had 28 for the winners.

Boys Div. V-A Championship -- Price 84, Stoneridge Prep 46. Fourth straight section title for Price, which also should be No. 1 seed in SoCal playoffs.

San Francisco

Boys Championship -- Lincoln 50, McAteer 37. Mustangs are a Div. I school so they will be in Div. I NorCal playoffs.

Girls Championship -- Lowell 54, Washington 41. Lowell also is Div. I and will be in Div. I NorCal playoffs.

Note: It doesn't look like SF will have any teams in either Div. II, Div. III or Div. IV playoffs.

Girls Championship -- Oakland Tech 60, Oakland 58. Jalela Simpson had 18 for Tech, which had to win twice and did to take expected NorCal Div. I berth away from Oakland. Wildcats will now be in interesting Div. I at-large vote along with Mitty, Berkeley or Pittsburg, and the Sac-Joaquin runnerup.

Note: Oakland Tech won boys title on Friday.

North Coast

Boys Div. I -- De La Salle 58, Pinole Valley 45; St. Mary's (Berkeley) 74, Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland) 63. Rekalin Sims had a season-high 28 points for DLS. Simon Knight 22 points, 10 rebounds for St. Mary's.

Boys Div. III -- Piner (Santa Rosa) 68, San Lorenzo 53; Del Norte (Crescent City) 55, Acalanes (Lafayette) 44 (OT). Del Norte got a break that Piner won so it wouldn't have to go all the way down to Bay Area for Saturday game. Final instead to be at Elsie Allen High in Santa Rosa.

Boys Div. IV -- Salesian (Richmond) 67, Drake (San Anselmo) 45; Marin Catholic 58, Cardinal Newman 46. Salesian is top seed.

Boys Div. V -- St. Vincent (Petaluma) 42, Branson (Ross) 37; University (SF) 57, St. Bernard (Eureka) 47. Branson has been among state-ranked teams most of the season. Call that one an upset.

Girls Div. I -- Berkeley 59, San Leandro 46; Pittsburg 70, Logan (Union City) 50. Title matchup will be between top two seeds.

Girls Div. II -- Amador Valley 56, Ukiah 43; Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland) 38, Northgate 35. Amador Valley going for its fourth straight section title.

Girls Div. III -- Miramonte 66, Moreau Catholic 40; Alhambra (Martinez) 52, Encinal (Alameda) 40. Molly Nohr scored 22 for Miramonte, which is increasingly looking like the top NorCal threat for Div. III state title.

Girls Div. IV -- Marin Catholic 75, Healdsburg 51; Ursuline (Santa Rosa) 59, Kennedy (Richmond) 46. Final has been anticipated for awhile with MC at No. 1 and Ursuline at No. 3 in the state for most of the season.

Girls Div. V -- Branson (Ross) 51, Rincon Valley Christian 33; Cloverdale 65, Berean Christian (Walnut Creek) 56. Branson girls move on while boys don't Cloverdale started playoffs as No. 10 seed.

Boys Div. V Championship -- Capital Christian 75, Liberty Christian 59. Joe Mitchell 16 points and 16 rebounds for Cap Christian, which won first section title after runner-up finish last year.

Note: Girls Div. V championship between Fall River and Etna not reported.

Note: Boys Div. VI champion is Happy Camp. Girls Div. VI champion is Loyalton. Neither will move on to NorCal regionals since there is no Div. VI at state level.
