Biggest upset on Saturday was in boys Div. IV where Wheatland traveled to Santa Cruz County and knocked off Monte Vista Christian, 51-49. MVC's top scorer, Michael White, fouled out with five minutes left, but Wheatland's top scorer, Lawrence Wright, fouled out even earlier.

The Kennedy of Sacramento girls won their biggest game ever by holding on to beat St. Ignatius, 57-56, in a Div. I semi. SI had upset Berkeley on the road on Wednesday, and fell behind by as much as 17 points in another road matchup vs. the Cougars. The Wildcats almost came back for the win. Kennedy has become a much more balanced squad in recent weeks and will now play Mitty for the right to play in the Div. I title game. The SoCal opponent in that game, either Lynwood or Narbonne, will be heavily favored no matter who the NorCal winner is.

Six teams who met in section finals will now be playing again in regional finals. In Div. III boys, it will be Sacred Heart Cathedral and Riordan going at it for the fifth time this season. The Crusaders won the first two and the Irish have won the last two. In Div. IV girls, it will be Ursuline of Santa Rosa vs. Marin Catholic. Ursuline won in the NCS finals. Then in Div. V girls, it will be Ripon Christian vs. Modesto Christian. Ripon Christian won in the Sac-Joaquin Section finals.
