Breakdown: (10 minute highlight)

I would like to say that a true evaluation cannot be done from a highlight film. So I will throw in a few things that caught my eye from the film and from his stats.

The first thing that stands out to me on film is his speed. He is a mobile QB who plays mainly out of the shotgun. He rolls out a lot to utilize his speed. What impresses me is his accuracy. Sure he isn't asked to throw a ton but completing over 60% of his passes is impressive, especially coming from a QB who rarely sits in the pocket. He throws a decent spiral but not the best I have seen. And another thing that impressed me was he showed some toughness on the tape. He took a few big hits and popped right back up. He also had a quick release. He also has over a 3.9 GPA, which shows his intelligence and dedication to the classroom. College coaches always love good students.

Bottom Line:

Usually I will give my thoughts on what level of play I think the kid can play at. But I will not do this with a highlight tape. I will say that the highlight tape caught my eye and I have requested a full game to be sent to me of a game from this year. I think that a college recruiter might say the same thing.
