Thomas Downs did not hit the 250 mark but did get 237 yards and three TDs on the way to a 35-0 victory over Franklin. A QB that is now coming into his own is Brett Ellis of Johnson High School.  Ellis, a converted WR, was 7 of 9 passing for eighty-seven yards and also had 171 rush yards leading the Warriors to a 37-20 win over McClatchy.

Players To Watch:

5'11 190 pound junior RB Curtis Shaw of Lincoln High School in Stockton is establishing himself as one of the top emerging runners in northern California. Currently he has nearly 900 rush yards in just six games.

Brandon Rutley of Alhambra High in Martinez is averaging 209 yards a game over the last two wins.  Behind Rutley the Bulldogs are currently 4-2.

Keep an eye out for DB/WR Gerome Surrell of St. Mary's. The 10th grader is turning into quite a triple threat playmaker.
