Friday Night Phenoms Part II - WEEK #0

Donnie McKillop, Poway - McKillop completed 8-of-14 passes for 119 yards including the final drive of the game that covered 75 yards. He then punched it in from 1 yard out to beat Eastlake 22-20

Darrell Catchings,  Escondido High – Returned the game's opening kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown in the Cougars opening night win 52-7 over Westview

Arlin Taylor, Steele Canyon - tied a Grossmont Conference record by returning two Cathedral Catholic fumbles for touchdowns for the 20-13 victory over Cathedral.

Corbin Sutshaw, Santa Fe Christian  - 6 carries 246 yards and 3 TD's 345 all purpose including a 99 yard kick off returnin the win over La Jolla 34-14.


Kriss Proctor, Big Bear - Completed six of 11 passes for 221 yards, including a touchdown, for the host Bears in a 49-16 rout of Acton Vasquez.


Arron Frescas, Eagle Rock - Tossed touchdown passes of 80, 55, 27 and 12 yards in a 42-12 victory over host Pasadena La Salle.


J.J. DiLuigi, Canyon County - Rushed for 143 yards and a TD and caught three passes for 79 yards in a 33-14 victory against Moorpark.

Shane Vereen, Valencia - Rushed 16 times for 182 yards and two TDs andhad a 50-yard reception for a TD in a loss to Centennial.

Delano Howell, Hart - Rushed 17 times for 125 yards, caught five passes for 78 yards and averaged 31 yards per kickoff return in a 34-0 loss to Ventura St. Bonaventure.

Tyron Crockom and Armon Binns  Pasadena - Crockom completed 12-of-22 for 224 yards and four TDs and Binns caught seven passes for 176 yards and three TDs in a dramatic 34-33 come-from-behind win against Harvard-Westlake.

John Howe and Elias de Witt, Harvard-Westlake - Howe completed 9-of-17 for 114 yards and one TD and de Witt rushed for 152 yards and two TDs in a 34-33 loss to Pasadena.

Mikey Morley and Matt Redding, Estancia - Morley completed 12-of-17 for 262 yards and four TDs and had two TDs rushing in a 44-7 victory against Keppel.
Redding caught four passes for 124 yards.

Erik Jimenez, Keppel - Had 126 yards rushing on 21 carries in a 44-7 loss to Estancia.

Ronnie Palacio, Pioneer - Passed for 180 yards and one TD in a 26-7
victory against Gabrielleno.

Shane Sparks, 
Monrovia - Had 217 total yards and returned punts for 63 and 29 yards in a 20-0 victory against Montclair.

Matt Castaneda, Rex Foss,  Los Altos - Castaneda passed for 143 yards and three TDs including driving his team 55 yards in three minutes for a touchdown and 2-point conversion to win it in a 22-21 victory against South Hills. Foss caught seven passes for 108 yards and one TD.

Nick Lamaison, South Hills - Passed for 111 yards and one TD and rushed for 52 yards in a 22-21 loss to
Los Altos.

Aubrey Haynes, Diamond Ranch - Rushed for 106 yards on 16 carries and scored
one TD in a 35-6 loss to Edison.

Leander Benjamin
Mountain View - Completed 9-of-18 passes for 83 yards and two TDs and carried 12 times for 83 yards in a 26-13 loss to Workman.

Nicolas Grigsby, St. Paul - Carried 27 times for 179 yards and three TDs in a 26-23 loss to Santa Ana Bishop Amat.

Joseph Loera Cantwell, Sacred Heart - Rushed 16 times for 173 yards and one TD in a 28-6 victory against St. Anthony.

Rene Cerda and Robert Leos, 
Montebello - Cerda completed 10-of-20 passes for 130 yards and Leos caught seven passes for 106 yards in a14-7 overtime loss to Norwalk.

John Barnett, 
Lakewood - Rushed 18 times for 209 yards and one TD in a 37-34 loss to La Costa Canyon.

Nico Dumont, Alex O'Neil and John Michael Migdal, Kentfield Marin Catholic -
Dumont carried 16 times for 168 yards, O'Neil rushed six times for 145 yards and Migdal completed 8-of-16 passes for 176 yards in a 35-28 loss to San Francisco St. Ignatius.

Chris McCaffery, San Francisco St. Ignatius - Completed 12-of-21 for 164 yards and two TDs in a 35-28 win against Kentfield Marin Catholic.

Robert Carlson,  San Francisco Sacred Heart - Rushed 24 times for 110 yards in an 8-7 win against San Francisco Riordan.

Deleon Eskridge, Cody Jackson  San Mateo Serra - Eskridge, a junior transfer from
Antioch, rushed 14 times for 145 yards and three TDs and had a 10-yard pass reception for a TD; Jackson, a sophomore QB, rushed five times for 124 yards in a 35-14 victory against Clovis Buchanan.
