2006 Track- Tri Valley Long Jump Champion, First Team All League Long Jump and 4x1.  State Track Qualifier.


PrepCA: What were your stats from last season?

McGee:  I transferred to Oak Park last Year and played Mostly WR (backup), a little QB, CB & Special Teams. Runs from scrimmage 10/95 (9.5 yard average)

Receptions 17/253, 4 tds (had to earn my way in over several games, but ended #2 Receiver, 14.8 yard avg.  a TD every 4.2 catches)

PrepCA: What is your 40 Time?

McGee: 4.7


PrepCA: What is your greatest football memory?

McGee:  Winning the JV Championship against Notre Dame in 2004.  We were down 21-7 in the 2nd half and my teammates refused to lose.  I threw the touchdown on an escape and then I kicked the EP to Tie the game.  We got the ball back with a few seconds at the 50.  Our receivers made nice catches to move the team down to the 20 in the closing seconds and then I was lucky enough to kick the Game winning FG.   


PrepCA: What are your goals for the upcoming football season?

McGee:  I have won the 2006 Starting QB job.  I want to lead our team to the CIF Playoffs and Win it our Division in an upset in the finals.


PrepCA: How are you preparing for the upcoming season?

McGee: I work out year round for football with my dad.  I watch film and study my read mistakes routinely.  Lastly I just have fun with my team during practices.



PrepCA: Will you be attending any summer camps?

McGee: Summer is over but, I attended the Nike combines at USC & the various Sparq Trainings, but mostly I developed a rapport with our receivers at all of our 27 passing league match-ups.  Spring Track & Sparq training helped me with my efficiency as a runner.


PrepCA: What aspect of your game have you worked really hard on improving? What area would you like to keep improving on?

McGee: I have worked hardest on reading defenses both pre snap and on my various drops.


PrepCA: Who are some teammates that we should watch out for?

McGee: This team is full of players to be concerned about.  We all play specific roles.


PrepCA: Name one teammate you really respect and why?

McGee: I respect my entire team.  We have each others backs.


PrepCA: What are your goals as far as playing in college?

McGee: I want to get a scholarship to a Division I University.


PrepCA: Would you consider staying in-state?

McGee:  Yes


PrepCA: What are your current top five schools?

McGee: There are many schools that have shown interest in me, though it has not gotten serious.  I am looking forward to my senior performance but schools that have shown interest are Arizona State, Boise St., Cal Poly, Colorado, Houston, Humboldt State, Northern Arizona, San Diego and Texas Christian.


PrepCA: How would your coach describe you as a player?

McGee: Very Athletic Playmaker.


PrepCA: Who is your favorite athlete?

McGee: Vince Young


PrepCA: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

McGee: If you feel strong, then you are strong.


PrepCA: What can fans expect from (OAK Park High School) this year?

Player: They will be pleasantly surprised, because the press does not think we are very good, but we do.


PrepCA: What do you bring to your HS as a player?
