Tulare is currently 2-0 with wins over Golden West (Visalia, CA) & Lemoore (CA). Mt Whitney is currently 1-1 with a win over Monache(Porterville, CA) and a loss to Tulare Western (Tulare, CA).

These two teams played in 2005 with Tulare Union winning 42-21.  Tulare's Emmanuel Lewis completed 18 for 25 with 4tds and 252 yards.  Beau Riportella caught 8 of those throws catches for 120 yards.  Mt Whitney had an outstanding performance from returning Matt Jackson 13 completions on 24 throws 173 yards with a td.  Matt also had 15 runs for 150 yards.  Keith Pankey had an outstanding 17 tackles in this game.

Tulare Union returns 6'0" 185 QB Bobby Barnes who is currently 28 of 47 (60%) for 313 yards 3 tds 2 Ints and ran 14 times for 11 yards and 2 tds.  5'8" 195 RB Brian Freeman ran 22 times for 161 yards (7.3 avg.) 1 td.  5'9" 185 RB Jontell Reedom also ran 18 times for 70 (3.9 avg.) 2 tds.  Current leading receiver 6'4" 180 Addison Lyons has 10 catches for 132 yards (13 yd. avg.) 1 td.  5'10 150 WR Steven Porter also has 8 catches for 104 yards (13 yd avg.) 1 td.  Defensively, Tulare had nice performances by 5'8" 160 LB Omar Rubio and 5'11" 195 LB James Guerrero with 14 tackles each.  5'9" 175 LB Keith Joseph has 13 tackles.  5'8" 175 DL has 5.5 sacks in 2 games.

 

Mt. Whitney returns an excellent QB from last year who has shown already that he is picking up where he left off, 5'10" 175 Matt Jackson.  Matt has 30 completions in 54 attempts (56%) for 471 yards 6 tds and 1 Int., with 19 runs for 47 yards.  Teams better understand that Matt is for real.  5'9" 165 RB Derrick Little has 6 receptions for 123 yards (20.5 yd avg.) 2 tds and an INT.  5'9" 200 RB Jordyn Aguilar ran 16 time for 46 yards and caught 3 for 40 yards (13 yd avg.) 1 td.  6'1" 185 WR Michael Frame has 12 catches for 205 yards (17 yd avg.) 1 Td.  Defensively, 6'2" 225 LB Keith Pankey  leads with 10 tackles and 5'10" 230 LB Murrrell Rizon with 8 tackles.  6'4" 260 DL Kevin Rodriguez has 4 Sacks.
