PrepCA: Everyone has something special that puts them at the top of their game, what is that for you?

Perez: "I have really good vision and can see holes developing, but I will run through tacklers if the hole is not there." "I want colleges to know that my size does not mean that I can not contribute to the team.  I play with leverage and I am quick"

 

PrepCA: What has been your best game?

Perez: Malibu, I rushed for 256 yards.

 

PrepCA: What schools have shown interest in you?

Perez: UC Davis, Humboldt, Mesa State College

 

PrepCA: Tellus about Paul Perez and practice.

Perez: I like practice because it is very productive and is a good reading of what our performance is going to be for that week's game."

 

PrepCA: How do you feel about the Santa Clara football team?

Perez: "We are undersized but we are pretty good"

 

PrepCA: What is your goal in football?

Perez: "I want to win our league and get to the Playoffs, because we have not done that in a while"

Coach Fredette feels that Paul has the ability to be playing somewhere on Saturdays after graduation.

Stats: 1st 2 games 2006 23 runs for 226 yards (9.8 avg.) 2 tds   1 catch 47 yards 1 td.  The 3rd game unofficially was 3 runs for 56 yards.

 

 

PrepCA: What do you want Colleges to know about you?

Wood: "I am not just an Athlete".  "I get down to business in the classroom and on the field".  "I am more than just sports".  This Writer observed that Cierre has a wide wingspan which helps him make catches that taller receivers make.  He has good vision and separation on the field. 

 

 

PrepCA: What has been you best game?

Wood: "I enjoyed the Hueneme Game, because we were down and coaches needed someone to step up.  I scored the game winning TD. 

 

PrepCA: How does Cierre Wood approach daily practice ?

Wood: "I feel that practice is very good for me and the team.  We can learn and get better, individually and collectively"

 

PrepCA: Tell us about Santa Clara football.

Wood: "We are really bonding this year and that is better because last year we were more like individuals".

 

PrepCA: What is your goal in football?

Wood: "I want to make Playoffs, because we have not done that in a long time"

Stats: 1st 2 games 2006 23 7 catches for 165 yards (23.5 avg.) 2 tds.  The 3rd game unofficially was 3 catches for 86 yards and 2 tds.

 

PrepCA: What do you want Colleges to know about you?

Vines: "I am willing to learn"  "I am working on and will continue to work on getting stronger".

 

 

PrepCA: What has been you best game so far.

Vines: Last weeks Bell Jeff game because I had 4 catches for 100 yards".

 

PrepCA: Tell us about Santa Clara football.?

Vines: "We are very young and are coming together as a team".

 

PrepCA: What is your goal in football?

Vines: "I want to play at a Division I College"
