Army Bowl Selection Tour
The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is quickly proving that it has a track record for putting the nation's best of the field. In April, twenty-three former U.S. Army All-Americans were drafted into the NFL, including seven in the first round and four of the top ten overall picks. The first round picks included Reggie Bush to New Orleans, Vine Young to Tennessee, Vernon Davis to San Francisco, Donte Whitner to Buffalo, Haloti Ngata to Baltimore, Kamerion Wimbley to Cleveland, and Nick Mangold to the New York Jets.

Scout.com is the official online selection partner for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and this is the third year as the official online sponsor of the game. Stay tuned over the next three months for complete coverage of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection tour leading up to complete coverage of the Bowl week and game.

Mira Mesa High tight end Nate Chandler and wide receiver Markques Simas have been nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 6 at the Alamodome in
San Antonio, Texas.

The two are among 400 individuals who will be nominated before the list is whittled to 80 players, 40 from the East and an equal number from the West.

Helix's Reggie Bush played in the 2003 game before earning a Heisman Trophy at USC, and St. Augustine kicker Jordan Congdon, now at Nebraska, was a member of the West team in 2005.
