Friday Night Phenoms – Part II – Week #3


Jonathan Esparza - Lake Elsinore Lakeside
Rushed for a school-record 215 yards in a 21-12 win over Desert Hot Springs.

Tim Maupin - Concord De La Salle
Rushed for 151 yards and two scores in his team's 28-3 win over Salinas Palma.

Brian Reader -
Salinas Palma
Completed 17 of 32 passes for 227 yards in a 28-3 loss to Concord De La Salle.

Brian Mouton - Oakland Bishop O'Dowd
Rushed 19 times for 114 yards and two scores and caught four passes for 68 yards in a 33-23 win over Tennyson.

Elliot Dorsey - Tennsyon
Completed 11 of 21 passes for 225 yards and two scores in a 33-23 loss to Bishop O'Dowd.

Tim Randolph - Murrieta Valley
239 yards on 16 carries. Touchdowns on 55 and 76 yard runs in their
45-24 victory over Paloma Valley

Russell McGuire, Castle Park
McGuire was 7-for-10 passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns in  Castle Parks 38-6 victory over Morse

Antwon Dawson, Nick Pascarella - Carlsbad

Dawson had runs of 33 and 14 yards, finishing with 84 yards and a touchdown. Pascarella, the thunder to Dawson's lightning, added 48 yards on six carries in their 20-0 win over Cathedral Catholic


DJ Behzadipoor,  Darin Alix – Patrick Henry

Behzadipoor finished with 16 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Alix carried the ball 11 times for a game high 129 yards in their 34-0 victory over El Cajon Valley.


Pete Johnson, Kyle Moffatt and Riley Myrick – Torrey Pines
The trio combined for 251 total rushing yards and four touchdowns to move the Falcons to 4-0 on the season


Donovan Warren – Poly
Warren  finished with 73 yards on just nine carries, including a 4-yard TD.

Lester Arnold, Drew Callejon – Point Loma

Arnold rushed for 103 yards on 18 carries and   Callejon caught four passes for 80 yards for a 20-11 victory at Otay Ranch.


Derrick Coleman and Chris Ramirez - Fullerton Troy

Coleman rushed for 191 yards and three scores and Ramirez rushed for 151 yards and three scores in a 54-29 win over Chino Hills Don Lugo.


Marc Tyler - Westlake Village Oaks Christian

Rushed 18 times for 274 yards and five scores in a 59-13 win over Ventura St. Bonaventure. Tyler is the son of former Los Angeles Ram and San Francisco 49er Wendell Tyler.


Raymond Carter - Los Angeles Crenshaw

Rushed for 126 yards on 11 carries and scored three times in a 47-0 win over L.A. Roosevelt.


Dwight Broadnax - Temple City

Rushed 24 times for 119 yards in an 18-6 win over San Gabriel.


Thomas Flores - West Covina

Kicked a 33-yard field goal with one second left to beat Monrovia 22-20.


James Davis - Monrovia

Rushed for 181 yards and two scores in a 22-20 loss to West Covina.


Talmadge Jackson and Tyler Hansen - Temecula Chaparral

Jackson carried 19 times for 148 yards and caught five passes for 160 yards and two scores and Hansen completed 16 passes for 342 yards and five scores with one interception in a 40-21 win over Moreno Valley Valley View.


Mencil Coates - Moreno Valley Valley View

Rushed for 181 yards on 28 carries and had three scores in a 40-21 loss to Temecula Chaparral.


Steven Austin, Kaquann Offutt - Pasadena Blair

Austin completed 9 of 9 passes for 92 yards and one score and Offutt rushed 13 times for 69 yards in a 34-0 win over Hoover.


Titus Young - L.A. University

Rushed six times for 168 yards and one score and also had a 55-yard punt return for a score and an 89-yard kickoff return for a score in a 40-8 win over Los Angeles.


Joshua Parrish, Michael Flynn, Connor Berry - South Pasadena

Parris rushed 14 times for 164 yards, Flynn rushed 11 times for 93 yards and two scores and Berry caught four passes for 86 yards and two scores in a 28-6 win over Glendale.


Shawn Smith - Alhambra

Rushed 20 times for 135 yards and three scores in a 42-27 win over El Monte Arroyo.


De'veon Blaylock - L.A. Lincoln

Rushed 16 times for 166 yards and a score in a 33-15 win over Bell.


Howard Martin - Northview

Rushed 19 times for 150 yards and three scores in a 34-14 win over Rosemead.


Luke Collis - La Canada St. Francis

Completed 17 of 23 passes for 223 yards, including a late game-winner to Kevin Bessolo in a 24-21 win over Burbank Burroughs.


Nicholas Gutierrez - Rosamond

Completed 8 of 16 passes for 194 yards and two scores in a 27-8 win over Acton Vazquez.


Robert Ortega, Joey Vicuna - Rosemead Bosco Tech

Ortega had a 93-yard kickoff return for a score and caught four passes for 99 yards and one TD in a 31-7 win over La Puente. Vicuna rushed 10 times for 151 yards and one TD.


Darrell Ficklin - L.A. Jefferson

Rushed 16 times for 119 yards and one score in a 15-12 loss to Pasadena Muir.


Andre Argaez - San Juan Capistrano Valley Christian

Completed 5 of 9 passes for 159 yards and two scores in a 56-8 win over San Diego Midway Baptist.


Anthony Ruize - Phelan Serrano

Rushed for 220 yards and returns a kickoff 99 yards for a score in a 35-21 win over San Bernardino San Gorgonio
