Trabuco Hills: Jason Negro

Aliso Niguel Record Is currently 3-1, having played Westminster (CA) W 22-15,  Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA)  L 0-20, Artesia (Lakewood, CA) W 20-12 and an always tough Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA) W 10-7.  They currently have 67 runs for 314 yards (4.69 avg.) 3 TD's and 26 completions in 50 attempts (52%) 286 yards (5.72 yards per attempt) 3 Ints 3 TD's.   So they are showing with a slight lean towards the run this year.

Defensively giving up 13 points per game and have 4 fumble recoveries and 2 blocked kicks.  Their Defense is stepping up holding these teams to just 13 points.

Last year they were 9-3 having gone to the playoffs and beat Artesia (Lakewood, CA) W 26-24 and losing to Tustin (CA) L 10-28 in the 2nd round.  In 2005 they ran 299 times and threw 153 times so they were a solid run team last year.

In 2005, defensively they gave up 15 points per game.

In this game last year Aliso Niguel won 33-24.  Aliso Niguel had 27 runs for 226 yards & 11 completions in 20 attempts for 230 yards 3 TD's and 1 Int.  Returning Greg Azaula had 21 carries for 147 yards.  So Aliso moved the ball very well against Trabuco, both on the ground and in the Air.

Trabuco Hills Currently 2-2 after having played South Hills (West Covina, CA)  W 24-21, Laguna Hills (CA)  L 7-24, Villa Park (CA)  (El Modena) L 10-13 and 3-1 Gahr (Cerritos, CA)  W 33-26.  The Wolverines have 99 runs for 373 yards (3.77 avg.) and 92 passing attempts for 506 (5.1 per pass attempt).  So they are pretty evenly balanced in their run pass ratio this year whereas last year they were more of a run team.

Defensively they are giving up 21 points a game and that is a lot to overcome each game.  They must score at least 3 TD's to have a chance to win.

Last Year they were 6 -5 and had 353 runs and 258 passes so they were more of a running team.  Defensively this year they are better, because they average 31 point per game in 2005.  Trubucco lost in the first round, to Valencia (CA) in the 2005 State Playoffs 42-61.

In this Game last year Trabuco had 37 runs for 247 yards & Returning Sean Reilly had 12 completions in 19 attempts for 153 yards 1 Int and 1 TD.  This was a very respectable performance with good decision making.
