Michelle Clark 5-8 Sr.  PG  Oaks Christian High School, is one of the top 2007 prospects in the Country.  Recently we had a chance to talk to her regarding her recruitment, the decision to attend Purdue University and her future. Girls Basketball Forum

PrepCA: What were your stats from last season?
Clark: 17.3 PPG—4.8 APG—5.2 RPG—3.5 SPG

PrepCA: What is your official height and weight?
Clark: 5'8" 135 lbs

PrepCA: What is your greatest basketball memory?
Clark: 2006 End of Oregon Trail Tourney; down at halftime significantly and came back and won.

PrepCA: What are your goals for the upcoming season? 
Clark: Become a better player/leader and win CIF.

PrepCA: What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on? 
Clark: Ball handling and Defense.

PrepCA: Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for? 
Clark: Chelsea Carlisle

PrepCA: Name one teammate you really respect and why?
Clark: Chelsea Carlisle—She works hard and is a good team player.  She and I have great chemistry on and off the court.

PrepCA: What are your goals regarding playing basketball at Purdue? 
Clark: Help lead the team to a National Championship.

PrepCA: Did you consider staying in state to play in college?
Clark: Yes


PrepCA: What were your top 5 college choices?
Clark: Purdue, Stanford, Dartmouth, Oregon and San Diego State.

PrepCA: Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
Clark: Courtney Paris—Her size and strength.

PrepCA: Name one opponent who you really respect and why? 
Clark: Abi Olajuwan—She is a great player and is a nice person off the court.

PrepCA: What Club Basketball team do you player for in the Spring and Summer? 
Clark: BBG—Blessed by God.  Coached by Andre and Michelle Chevalier.

PrepCA: How do you think your coach would describe you as a player? 
Clark: Hard-working, good court sense and a leader.

PrepCA: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player? 
Clark: Strength—Ball handling, passing, shooting and court sense.  Weakness—Defense


PrepCA: Who is your favorite athlete and why? 
Clark: Lance Armstrong—Because he never gave up; nothing could hold him back from doing what he loved.

PrepCA: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Clark: To leave everything better than I found it.

PrepCA: Tell us what can we expect from your team this season? 
Clark: League Championship—CIF Champions

PrepCA: What position do you think you will play at Purdue?
Point Guard

PrepCA: What can the Purdue program expect from you as a player?
Clark: Leadership, hard work and being a good teammate.

PrepCA: What were the main factors be when you choose a school?
