Pat O'Mahoney, 6-4 G 2007 Surprise (Ariz) Willow Canyon High School

Willow Canyon has a 19-4 record.  The surprise of 4A, and yet nobody knows who these guys are.  Let me introduce you to the one of the reasons, Pat O'Mahoney, a 6-4 guard who can shoot it from deep, has major spring and is making a case for a spot on the 4A All-State team come March.

O'Mahoney has one of the best shots we have seen.  He can shoot it from deep.  When he is on, he can hit 3's off the dribble, catch and shoot it and take you off the dribble and pull up.  He is capable of scoring huge numbers in a short time.

His ball skills need work, especially because he will play a two guard at the next level.  Right now he is best suited at the wing.

He has great spring in his legs and gets up quick.  Can elevate in traffic and throw down over bigger athletes.

Defensively he needs work, but he has the lateral quickness and mental toughness so that will develop in the right program.

We believe he is headed the Prep School route for another year of work without losing any eligibility.  The same route former St. Mary's forward, TJ Topercer took and now is at NCAA Division I Navy.  A decision that could land Pat in the same direction.

Willow Canyon will make a run in the State Playoffs, so be sure to catch the New Jersey product, Pat O'Mahoney!
