Steve Jurich, 6-6 F 2007
One of the reasons for this sudden turnaround is Steven Jurich, a 6-6 forward who graduates in 2007.
Jurich is a big bodied southpaw who can mix it up inside the paint. He can finish in traffic, but right now we classify him as an outside-in player. What that means is his strength is facing the basket. From 15ft he can create opportunities for his teammates with his great anticipation with the ball. Solid passer who makes thing.
He has a nice stroke and can even knock down a 3, but the mid-range is his forte.
A banger on the offensive glass, he can keep the ball alive. Defensively he can power his way around inside the paint and takes charges.
Development with his ball skills along with the ability to defend on the perimeter are keys for Jurich to succeed at the next level. We know he is a tireless worker and those things will come down the road. Right now we classify him as a solid Division II prospect and maybe a stop at a Prep School would be the ticket. He has upside so the development is vital!
