"That loss hurt but we still proved a lot," Byrd said. "We played well but just came up short. We have Vista this week who just knocked off Helix so that will be another tough game for us."
"I like all three colleges a lot," Byrd said. "Right now, I don't have a leader among the group. To be honest, it's not something I'm really thinking about. I'm for sure to take official visits to all three schools and then I should be able to make my decision after I'm done. I'm still looking a little bit at USC, Colorado and Arizona but I'm pretty sure I'll end up in the Northwest.'
Here's Byrd's take on all three schools.
Washington State: "I really like Pullman believe it or not. I know a lot of people knock it but it's a real nice little college town and I'm comfortable with that. Plus they're a program definitely on the rise."
Washington: "It's a beautiful area. The community support is great and they love their football there. It's not too big or too small and Seattle is a really nice place."
Oregon: "The renovation's they've made to their stadium and facilities are amazing. They have by far the best facilities of any of the schools I've seen and I like Eugene, it's nice and clean and the people are great."
The Ducks are the only one among the three that have yet to offer.
"They told me like me but are still evaluating whether or not to offer," Byrd said. "I'm fine with it, I'll still set up a trip there."
Byrd will take his first official visit this weekend to Pullman to watch the Cougars take on USC.
"It should be a great game, both teams are playing really well right now.
