San Ramon California High visited Seattle's Qwest Field to take on Washington powerhouse Bellevue High in the nightcap of the Best in the West Football Classic, and was there for all the action as the Wolverines escaped with the win over the Grizzlies...

Bellevue 34, Cal High 27- Final

Bellevue kneels and the clock reaches 0:00.  The Wolverines escape with a 34-27 win in a game that turned out to be pretty exciting in the end.

Incomplete with 38 seconds left.  Bellevue will take over on downs and run out the clock.

On 4th and 14, Stompro tries a hard count, but a false start on the Grizzlies make it 4th and 19 with 46 seconds left.

A three-yard loss and a 6-yard pass make it 3rd and 7 for the Grizzlies.  On 3rd down, Green breaks a big run for a first, but there is laundry, again, with another holding call on the Grizzlies.  Now it's 3rd and 14 with 59 seconds left.

Bellevue may be getting a little homecooking, as CalHigh just got flagged for a very sketchy holding call on a screen pass to Green, who got a good 40 yards out of the reception, only for it to be come back. It was a 2nd and long and now it's second and longer.

And just like that, Bellevue is back in front, getting another big run from Peter Nguyen, who takes it 59-yards to paydirt, and with the PAT, Bellevue is up 34-27.

The hands are up in the air on the Grizzlies' side as they've come all the way back and we head to the 4th quarter with the game all knotted up.

In the doghouse earlier, Nick Zwarg is making amends, catching his third touchdown pass of the game from Bo Stompro.  Ernie Collins' PAT is true, 27-27 with 39 seconds left in the 3rd.
