Week Six's "Stars Of Friday Night"

The sixth full week of the season took place last weekend and several Golden State standouts had fine performances. Here are week six's "Stars of Friday Night," GoldenStatePreps.com's weekly look at the California high school football standouts...

*Oakland Bishop O'Dowd running back Mario Brown ran for 194 yards and a touchdown, forced a fumble and then sealed the 14-6 win over Hayward with an interception in the final minutes.

*San Jose Bellarmine Prep do-everything player Usua Amanam ran for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries and the Bells overcame a big night by Valley Christian's Cameron Marshall, who ran for 145 yards and a touchdown and scored on a pick-six, to win 27-16.

*Omari Carr ran for 151 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns and teammate Jabari Carr had two interceptions as San Jose Oak Grove cruised to a 45-0 win over Leland.

*Evergreen Valley running back Jarrell Williams ran for 230 yards on 28 carries and scored three touchdowns to help the Cougars get by Del Mar, 31-6.

*Kris Labouf paced Los Gatos' ground game with a 33-carry, 159-yard night that saw him reach the end zone twice in Los Gatos' 24-7 win over Wilcox.

*San Francisco Lincoln running back Eric Beverly ran 31 times for 182 yards and a touchdown and Deshom Marman ran for 125 yards on four carries, including a 62-yard and 39-yard score, to help Lincoln beat Washington 35-21.

*Bakersfield quarterback Brian Burrell completed 17-of-20 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Drillers to a 41-7 win over Garces.

*Cody Shirreffs ran for 165 yards and four touchdowns to help Taft get past Arvin, 28-26.

*Stephon Mathis scored four touchdowns, three going for more than 40 yards, and Merced trounced Buhach Colony, 56-18.

*Watsonville's Tony Mora ran the ball 23 times for 113 yards and a touchdown and picked off two passes in a 21-0 win over Monte Vista Christian.

*Saugus running back Ryan Zirbel rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns to help Saugus defeat Hart, 55-20.

*Canyon quarterback Jordan Adamczyk was 29-for-47 for 327 yards and three touchdowns and receiver Kevin Voogt broke a school record by catching 15 passes, two more than the previous mark, and going for 153 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort to Valencia.

*Scripps Ranch quarterback Tate Forcier shook off the pain and was 18-for-33 for 321 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 121 yards on 14 carries and scored three touchdowns.  He also saw some time on defense to help Scripps Ranch beat Serra.

*Todd Golper of Arcadia had 17 tackles, an interception and forced a fumble while carrying the ball three times, including a three-yard touchdown and had three receptions for 24 yards and blocked a PAT in Arcadia's win over Pasadena.

*Sacramento Christian Brothers got big nights from their big three, with running back Marcus McDaniel recording 195 all-purpose yards, 73 yards coming on seven carries, 74 on kick returns and 48 yards coming through the air, for two touchdowns. Asante Cleveland had four catches for 90 yards and a scored and recorded two sacks.  Linebacker Daniel Cox had a 10-tackle, 1-fumble recovery game and helped the D force five turnovers.
