Jesuit Braves Conditions, Lincoln To Claim Title

The Sac-Joaquin Div. I title game was played Friday night in the wind and rain at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, with Jesuit winning, 9-6, over Lincoln of Stockton to wrap up a perfect 13-0 season and the second section title for coach Dan Carmazzi.

Jesuit's only TD came on a blocked field goal on a play that Lincoln thought had been blown dead. Lincoln's touchdown was a 51-yard run by Louis Rankin, his 41st score of the year.

The football title completed an amazing fall for the boys' school, in which the Marauders won every section title in boys' athletics, football, soccer, water polo and cross-country. Jesuit's harriers also won the Div. II state title.
